Bored in waiting

This is what I do. I analyse breaches of laws and guidelines concerning investment funds. Thanks to information technology, I only need to do a second-level check as the calculations are done by the system. That's the thing. If the system works correctly.

But it is not working correctly on New Year's eve.....of all the days.

So here I am waiting anxiously for things to get going. I'm still hoping to leave the office early today given the situation where I can only start my work at 11am and scrambling as a back-up for my colleagues who do a "bridging" holiday.

While idling, I'm checking my personal mails and I got some best wishes mail from friends. Some are tacky. Some are cute. In any case, it's nice to get messages from friends who shout HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! every year without fail. It's reassuring to know that they still think about me from far away.

Go Organic

I'm pretty used to eating organic food at home as my mom is a loyal supporter. I've been taught the benefits of eating natural foods instead of the processed and genetically-modified ones. Moreover, organic meat and vegetables are much tastier. Being a gourmandise, I'm not blindly supporting the green movement as I love food and I know what good food is, especially in its natural form.

Going organic has recently taken a step into fashion. I've window-shopped knitted wear made from soy and bamboo. Though I still cannot imagine how they turn soy into a pullover, I have no reasons to turn them down. I received an e-flyer one day from an upmarket New Yorker department (online) store. Organic cardigan, that is. It is apparently made from 100% organic cotton. It's quite pretty and I love the colour. I wonder if the dye was organic too.
